First of all I do want to show all the ingredients and claims that the product makes in the description (taken from Sephora website)
what it is:
A skin-smoothing, makeup-extending primer infused with five types of coconut to nourish and hydrate the complexion.
What it does:
Under (cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer brings the refreshing feel of coconut to your face while it perfects and extends makeup wear. With its hydrating, nutrient-rich formula, it is especially ideal for dry skin types to create a smooth and improved skin surface before foundation application. It’s enriched with concentrated coconut extracts which form a natural, vitamin-rich barrier between your skin and makeup. The coconut water-derived polysaccharide complex mirrors the effect of synthetic priming ingredients, allowing your skin to breathe without compromising the skin-perfecting benefits. The result is makeup that stays on longer and skin that appears younger-looking and better than ever.
so after reading the claims i wanted to try out the product and see for myself .
first of all with the name comes the price point - 44$ for 1 oz. of product ,
its important to mention that my t zone is oily and the rest of my face is basically normal so I was interested in seeing the results on my skin type .
the product comes out white and observes pretty quickly on the skin - a little defiantly goes a long way, it feels more like a moisturizer and not a primer, I didn't feel it made my foundation last longer but it did made my base application be smoother, another thing that it does not do is fill in your pores, I had to use another silicone based primer to smooth out my pores.
it has a really good luminous look and makes your skin look healthier and hydrated ,
I think it's a good product but the price point is way high for what it actually gives you , if you have big pores you'll need another primer which costs more money . It has good features but I feel it does the job of a good moisturizer which you can buy in a lower price point and you'll get the same effect.
Just being honest ...
